Little Hands...offers language enrichment activities for young children, their families and child care providers. 

We all want our children to be good communicators.  Our ability to communicate effectively affects all aspects of our lives.  We communicate with others to socialize, work, play, learn and love.  Children who have a rich language environment and capable role model early in life do better later in school.  There are countless activities that can be easily incorporated into our everyday routines to provide more language opportunities for young children. 

For most children, learning language comes easily.  They learn new words and concepts as they move through life.  Some children need a little extra attention and enrichment to develop early language skills.  They may take longer to learn a new word or grasp a concept, needing multiple experiences along the way. Other children need professional help, with a speech and language therapist, to be successful.  

I offer an array of services for children, families and childcare professionals.  

• sign language classes for early communication with preverbal infants
• sign language classes for augmenting communication in children who are "late talkers" or developmentally delayed
• classes on encouraging verbal language skills

This perfectly describes the manner in which children learn.  They must experience life, and therefore language, to understand how it all works.
